Uses
Clarinex (desloratadine) is an antihistamine drug, and used to treat symptoms of hay fever (seasonal allergic rhinitis) and relieve itching due to hives in patient with recurrent hives. These symptoms include sneezing, runny nose, and red/tearing/itch eyes. Clarinex is to be used for patients older than 12. This drug may cause less drowsiness than other antihistamines.

Precautions

Higher dose will not increase the effectiveness on hay fever, but may only cause drowsiness. Clarinex should not be used for children under age 12.

Missed Dose
If a dose is missed, use/give it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised by your doctor.

Storage
Store Clarinex in the container it came in, tightly closed. Keep it out of the reach of children. Store at room temperature, away form heat and moisture.
